Leading Swedish tech press names RockSigma among top startups

Ny Teknik, a leading Swedish technology and business news outlet issues a yearly list of the top 33 Swedish startups, the “33-list”. The companies listed are carefully vetted and evaluated by a jury of experts. To qualify, companies must be based on innovative technology, have potential for fast growth both nationally and internationally and use a scalable business model.

RockSigma builds software products for monitoring, analysis and forecasting of seismic activity in underground mines. With unique algorithms and self-learning AI-based mine-models, RockSigma’s solutions deliver valuable insights and understanding of the rock mass response to mining activity, which makes production safer and more efficient.

To satisfy increasing demand for metals and minerals, combined with a globally increasing focus on socially sustainable operations, including safe working conditions for miners, a new generation of safety and production solutions such as RockSigma’s are needed.

“We are incredibly proud and honored to be on the list, it validates our work so far. This year, we have delivered products to LKAB, started our international venture with strong traction in Australia and Canada. Before the end of the year, we expect to have our first customer outside Sweden, while we are also raising capital to support our work in the important growth phase ahead.”, says Jesper Martinsson, Founder and CTO of RockSigma

“After many years of R&D within LKAB, we are now working with RockSigma for future seismic systems. The collaboration is a good example of an ecosystem, where LKAB follows development closely. We get access to the latest technologies while new areas of application and features are developed. It is a win-win situation.”, says Johan Enback, Head of strategy energy systems and automation, LKAB
